Warranty

HB Electric Bikes Limited Warranty

Every new electric bike we sell is backed by a one (1) year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship, starting from the date you take delivery. This warranty applies only to the original buyer who purchased the bike directly from HB Electric Bikes, and it is not transferable if the bike is later sold or given to someone else. Coverage ends automatically at the one-year mark, or immediately if ownership changes, whichever happens first.

What's Covered

During the warranty period, the following components are covered against defects in materials or workmanship: the frame, front and rear forks, stem, handlebars, headset, brake system, lighting, bottom bracket, crankset, pedals, rims, wheel hubs, freewheel, derailleur, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD display, kickstand, reflectors, and mounting hardware. The lithium-ion battery is also covered against manufacturing defects for the same period.

What's Not Covered

  • Normal wear-and-tear items such as tires, tubes, seats, grips, chain, spokes, brake pads, and cables/housing.
  • Damage caused by not following the owner's manual, accidents, misuse, neglect, abuse, commercial use, unauthorized modifications, improperly installed parts or accessories, rider error, water exposure, extreme or off-road riding, stunts, or lack of proper maintenance.
  • Any issues caused by service performed by an unauthorized shop or the use of non-approved parts.
  • Battery damage caused by power surges, incompatible chargers, poor maintenance, ordinary wear, or water exposure.
  • Products not sold by HB Electric Bikes.

Whether a particular issue qualifies as a covered defect is determined at HB Electric Bikes' discretion, in consultation with the manufacturer when applicable.

Shipping Damage

Please inspect your bike as soon as it arrives — shipping damage claims are time-sensitive. To have a shipping-damaged component replaced, you'll need to notify us within 30 days of delivery, send us a dated photo of the damage, keep all original packaging and paperwork, and note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork before signing for the shipment. Damage that occurs when you arrange your own independent freight or shipping is not covered.

Chargebacks

If a purchase becomes subject to a credit card chargeback while you still have possession of the bike, this warranty is suspended until the chargeback is resolved.

How to File a Claim

Reach out to us through our Contact page or by emailing us with photos or video of the issue — we can't process a replacement without visual documentation. Our team will first try to help you troubleshoot a simple fix. If a component needs to be replaced, we'll walk you through returning the defective part and getting the replacement installed. Return shipping costs for a warrantied part are the customer's responsibility unless we agree in writing otherwise, and replacements are shipped only to the original purchaser's address.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary depending on where you live. To the extent allowed by law, HB Electric Bikes' liability under this warranty is limited to the amount you paid for the bike, and we are not liable for incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Some states don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
